I was a bit wordy, I guess. "Naive" should have been all I said, which is my conclusion from reading the FT article quoted earlier.
Dara you must be very young and still idealistic, not an experienced political anorak like me. I would not found, or be involved in, a party with "pirate" in its name, for that (nowadays) refers to thieves of copyrighted material who want to download anything from the Internet for free who have tacked on idealistic bits to become a more palatable political party.
The idealistic bits have already been around the political block under different names for example "socialist left", "green party" and they have never borne fruit (though some other policies of the green party are OK and workable). And as for political idealism or political dreams - we got Barack Obama for US President, unfortunately a big mistake as he is pretty useless.
And after this little rant, I guess I still haven't answered your question..., but I have said my 2p.![]()
I want Irish reunification in my lifetime.
I'd be very interested in joining a "pilates" party though.

Not only are file sharing enthusiasts represented in Swedens parliament, but in it's mundane life too
BBC News - Sweden recognises new file-sharing religion Kopimism
Another religion would just be what Ireland needs.
Surly someone who complains about someone else's spelling would not make simple grammar mistake such as this. Something about glass houses comes to mind.
A quick google search and looks like someone did try and set up a PirateParty at some point, but they must have gave up.
I see no reason why some more dedicated people don't have a go.
Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr they any good of a party? sorry i couldn't help myself.![]()
