Congrats to Tipp , hard to believe it's the same team I saw in Pairc Ui Chaoimh at the end of May.

It will be demoralising for Kilkenny shops to dispose of all the "Drive for Five" merchandise they have on sale.

Ha, drive for five my hole

G'wan Tipp.. put them upstarts in their places

And five in a row ?

Two were against Limerick and Waterford, who didn't bother turning up, and the ref won last years on for them giving away a penalty when we were on top, and not dealing with the little cheating boll**ks that Tommy Walsh is

The won one, and were handed three.. and today, were handed their ar*es to them

Do I sound bitter.. hell yeah.. maybe they'll shut up about our win against Antrim in '89 now... 21 years is a long time to hold a grudge, but permit me.. I have to find a chisel to get the smile off my face

I was there and you are right but they learned from that day and it stood to them in the end.

Great display by Tipp. What was exceptional about it was that having seen Kilkenny set such a high standard over the last 4 years, Tipp stepped up and met that standard. This wasn't a question of Kilkenny sinking to a lower standard. Congrats to Tipp.

Tipp did unto Kilkenny what Cork did unto them in Pairc Ui Chaoimh. Magnificent performance, never allowed Kilkenny to believe they could pull away, took their chances when they arose. Bristling with desire throughout, every player who had a chance at the posts or goal had to break through around three tackles on average. In a hurling game you'll often have purple passages where time seems to get lost as the energy and frenzy of a team's desire to compete forces the game into a speed and urgency that's unmatched by any other sport. We had this form the start and throughout. This was one of the great finals, with so much at stake hurling was the final victor. The game with the small ball is the greatest there is and days like these prove it beyond a shadow of a doubt. Fair f**ks to the Premier County from a Leesider. You've saved Munster hurling from a great embarrassment.

    fantastic game .

fantastic hurling period. both sides have alot to be proud of there.

should be used as an ad for the sport as it was about as thrilling a game ive seen in ages.

    roll on next year.

The puss on Cody was priceless keep smiling.
And Cork knocked any notions out of ye as well which helped the focus.
