In places on the Moslem-Christian frontier like Nigeria, a Papal resignation would embolden machete welding thugs to attack local Christians who themselves will respond. I suspect there are more genune practicing Catholics in Nigeria than the EU as a whole.

Genuine + catholic.....is that not a contradiction? There's nothing genuine about organised religion. The only thing that's genuine is the stupidity of the masses who believe such gobbledigook.
