Doesn't it all just fall into the usual workflow for US wars -
1. They are not sure they want to be in it.
2. They are sure they want to be in it.
3. They get into it (war).
4. They make films and TV programs saying how well things are going and how badly the bad guys are doing.
5. They make films and TV programs saying how good they are and how bad the bad guys are.
6. They are not sure they want to be in it.
7. They make films and TV programs saying how badly things are going and how well the bad guys are doing.
8. They make films and TV programs saying how bad they are and how good the bads guys are.
9. They make films and TV programs about the guys who never wanted to be in it in the first place.
10. They get out of it.
