    MPAC.IE - who are they?

There are several threads on this forum which start with statements issued on the website of MPAC.IE.

The thread title generally refers to MPAC.IE as a 'Muslim Group'.

    Who are MPAC.IE?

How many members do they have?

    How are they funded?

    Who funds them?

How representative of Irish Muslims are they?

There is some information on their site, but nothing which answers these questions.

Irish chap by the name of Egan who also writes for the Monthly Dublin Metro (this is teh multicultural broadsheet not the daily freesheet)

Mujaahid is Egan, and was banned from here, he is based in the South East

Antiphon claims to be operating from Birmingham - but may well be Egan

MPAC.IE are in favor of strict Sharia law and as such are fellow travelers with Al Qaeda / The Taliban (he defends both of them)

However rather tahn being a crack international terrorist he is a bot of a sad chap.

Also a lot of the "Al Qaeda Network's" administrative activities for Europe were run from here until quite recently as far as I know (I refer to it as a network as it is a very loose / nebulous grouping)

The only questions they answered were about links with Saudi Arabia (mpac.ie deny being funded by the Saudis) but they didn't answer any of the other questions.

Here are the questions again, with some attempts at answers.

    Who are MPAC.IE?

Nobody knows. Although Eoin Whelan and Liam Egan, both Irish Muslims, appear to be leading members.

How many members do they have?

Nobody knows. However, mpac.ie has 12 members (including Egan and Whelan) in its forum.

    How are they funded?

    Nobody knows.

    Who funds them?

Nobody knows, although they claim it's not the Saudis.

How representative of Irish Muslims are they?

    Nobody knows.

I wouldn't worry about Eoin & Liam. Eoin is an angry brat looking to latch on to something and Liam is well....Muj. However they seem to have a UK parent site that is well rather better resourced. And well as the detectives say follow the money

So this 'Muslim group' that Antiphon keeps starting threads about consists of a handful of people, Liam Egan and Eoin Whelan among them?

Which makes them about as representative of Irish Muslims as any other random handful of Irish Muslims...

Now that's been cleared up, perhaps the mods can change the relevant thread titles from 'Muslim group...' to 'Handful of unrepresentative nobodies...'.
