The FAI are never scared to behave like idiots, but my ire remains reserved for that ridiculous spiv Blatter and the cheating French. Yes, we have to accept we're out and leave it, but I don't actually blame the FAI for asking (what harm?), and Blatter's show today was typical playing-to-the-gallery scumbaggery and a deliberate breach of trust. Neither he nor the journoscum around him should have laughed, rather he should have felt some humility for his own role in a shameful situation, namely the seeding stitch-up. Sorry but there you go...
TL;DR thread so sorry if this has been mentioned, but to address the "sure they'll only be calling for video replays every five minutes" problem, I would propose a limit on how many video replays each team can call for in one match. Two each? One each?

erm..worldwide shame and derision that will go down in sporting history forever and ever ?
see aboveand Blatter's show today was typical playing-to-the-gallery scumbaggery and a deliberate breach of trust. Neither he nor the journoscum around him should have laughed,
im sorry but if england had made this request id be rolling about on the floor as opposed to hiding behind the sofa in case an immigrant worker passes by
had the FAI not made world sporting hisotry he may well have had to feign it a little , but not nowrather he should have felt some humility for his own role in a shameful situation, namely the seeding stitch-up. Sorry but there you go...

Couldn't find a clip of Keane handling the ball against Georgia but did find this:
"I don't know whether the penalty cost us the three points but for sure, it cost us one point, minimum," said a dignified and remarkably sanguine Hector Cuper, the Georgia manager. "The penalty penalised us very much. The situation was strange and vague, nobody understood the reason. The players are all very angry. We did not deserve to lose."
Trapattoni took issue with Cuper's last assertion, although he was forced to skate over the unfairness of the penalty award. "I am in football for 40 years and do you know how many penalties like this there are in every country?" he asked. "We had the luck in this situation but every Sunday in every country there are many situations like this. I think over the 90 minutes we deserved to win."

The FAI should have protested at the seeding issue. After that we didn't really have a leg to stand on (well, I did).
A P.ie moderator stated this on June 25th 2010: P.ie tolerates very broad free speech, and thus allows sectarian bigotry etc
you wouldnt get this on the sunday game , thats for damn sure
