TUV sorry for 'leprechaun language' slur

The Traditional Unionist Voice has apologised for its "childishness" after issuing a statement describing Irish as a "leprechaun language".

BBC NEWS | UK | Northern Ireland | TUV sorry for 'leprechaun' slur

Meanwhile Loyalists have set up an racist hate-page on Facebook against the Irish language.

NO LEPRECHAUN LANGUAGE ACT FOR BRITISH ULSTÈR! | Facebook

They include a link to an article in the Sunday Independent I posted about before.

Not only are the D4 elite talking like extreme loyalists, they're inspiring them now!

I love when they come out with this sort of talk - let them keep reminding the world of how backward and bigoted they are.
If I could mass-sterilise the planet, I would. Seriously.

The hilarious irony of this, is that Facebook is now available in Irish, so you can navigate that anti-Irish hate page in Irish! I'll bet they didn't see that coming!

The grievance is legitimate so why they bothered to make such a silly comment is beyond me. It's totally taken away from the issue. bad politics if ever i ever saw it...

I don't think the world ever knew or was ever interested in the TUV.

The TUV might as well call themselves the continuity DUP.

I should have clarifed who I meant - I was speaking of the people who are posting on the Facebook site. I have directed many US, English and Ozzie friends to the site to let them know the type of mentality that still exists amongst many up North.

They were greatly saddened by what they read.

Have you considered the possibility that the Facebook page was setup by a nationalist, to discredit unionists? So they could direct their friends to the site and to let them know the type of mentality they wanted their friends to believe still exists amongst many up North.
