    The Stars Of Heaven

In case this hasn't been posted before...... The Stars Of Heaven Albums Sacred Heart Hotel and Speak Slowly are available to download for free from the Independent Records site at Independent Records

Have both on vynil and was blessed to have seen them play live on a number of occasions. So its brilliant to listen to them again.

    Thanks for the link

    Fantastic band

One of a handful of great Irish bands in the 1908s that nearly but never made it

The Blades were another that come to mind.

I rated Blue in Heaven.. not Cactus World News though.. thought they were a very poor mans U2 (Light a Big Fire where equally poor and overhyped in my opinion)

Anyone recall the band that current Shinner spokesperson for Lisbon.. Mr Eoin O'Broin used to play bass in?

Thats jogged a few memories of sweaty nights in 'The Underground' mid 80s.
They were actually pretty good but didn't last too long though (all sorts of rumours went around).
Weren't they all just 15 or 16 at the time.

So O'Broin was another who was in the band.
    Gas stuff.

That was them.. they were indeed the next big thing for a fleeting moment.

The Underground.. best venue for a Saturday afternoon gig and an underage pint of lager.
