    Panto before council duties ?

Today's Examiner tells of an independent councillor leaving the annual budget meeting early in order to star in a pantomime.

He has an excellent reputation for the city, especially developing the historical aspects of our city which are needed for tourism. That being said, that is the one night of the year you would expect him to be in attendance.

What also did come out in that interview was that the Lord Mayor gets 107000 plus expenses for his years work. Is he worth it or where does the money come from, Talking to a Co Councillor recently who was delighted at all the cheques he is getting, Mr Hogan has much work to do. they tell us the country is broke.

That mayor's salary is a joke, but shagging off at a budget setting meeting to take part in a panto takes the biscuit. Quite appropriate , I think, that he plays the part of a gasbag in the production. Little acting skill required there, I would think.
