Consantin Gurdgiev speaking in Charleville this evening,17 Dec on bondholder bailouts

The courageous campaign group Ballyhea Bondwatch have invited Constantin Gurdgiev to their home town of Charleville this evening to speak about the bailouts of unsecured bondholders.

Media coverage of this campaign group has been stunningly muted given the level of anger that is felt by the general public about these bailouts - so this evening is a good opportunity for people in the Charleville and wider area to hear some informed, in-depth discussion of the matter.

8pm at The Schoolyard Theatre - and tomorrow at 11pm Gurdgiev will join the weekly Ballyhea Protest March.

It's a mystery why we don't see more protest about these billion dollar give-aways when there is nothing but slash and burn in the name of 'fiscal austerity'.

I tried to say something similar on another thread but apparently I just don't understand. It seems the ECB/IMF are giving us all this money and without their largess we'd be screwed.

The evidence suggests we are already and begs he question how come austerity isn't working:

BTW you could close down the ps and we still would not have settled our debts,
Never listen when they tell you that Man and the animals have a common interest, that the prosperity of the one is the prosperity of the others. It is all lies.

We're taking the most painful and expensive route to chaos by paying out billions we don't owe and the we surely don't have. Settling this debt on the heads of children not even born yet - all to rescue gamblers who should be told to wear the losses they knew they were risking.

Austerity isn't working - neither do stimulus packages.

They are over 1000 living in Ballyhea.

The numbers protestisg are pretty small.

The vast majority living in Ballyhea have little support for the weekly "march".
When i think of the people who vote for SF/IRA, i think of Germany in 1933.
