Cork South Central - toughest to call in country

M Martin FF and M McGrath FF have both been elected. FG will take a seat eventually.

The next 2 seats are almost impossible to call, left in the mix -

2 FG candidates
1 Lab candidate
1 GP candidate
1 FF candidate

My call:

2 FF 2 FG 1 GP*

* will be 1 lab if Dan fails to stay alive as lower candidates are eliminated

Not easy to call at all they're so close. Think Boyles on his way out though.

My prediction for remaining seats:

Clune
Coveney
and lynch to shade it.

Can't see Coveney getting in now. Michael CGrath hass a very small surplus most of which will transfer to Coveney and dennehy, however it won't make much difference.

The FG TD will come from the City and I thin it'll be Buttimer with Boyle getting the Dougals transfers(provided he hasn't been eliminated).

That leaves the final seat for Dennehy or Lynch. I'd have to say that it'll be Lynch; Dennehy won't get lucky twice and the FF vote won't pull him either!

There are so many permutations it's imposable to call between the 3 FG'er's and which ever one goes will have an effect no the battle between Lynch and Boyle. Any one any strong opions on this?

Dennehy is done for. It's all to play between the 3 FGers, Boyle and Lynch for the other 3 seats

People shouldn't rule Dan Boyle out, even though I'd love to see Ciaran Lynch take a seat. Greens inclined to take far more preferences than other parties, so watch SF transfers in particular. If McGrath goes out before Lynch, then the seat is Labour's but it's going to be a long night if not weekend.

2nd count in Dennehy got 750 or so all the others in the running got close to 100 each. As expected, not near enough for Dennehy.
Boyle got the largest transfer of the rest but only by 10-20 votes.

Hard to see how this is going to pan out. Will Henry Cremin and John Minihan transfer enough to Dan? I hope so.
