I'm new to East Cork and was wondering who are the canditates running for the area? I've noticed that initials are being used in the threads but I don't know who ye're talking about!!

Cork East has a very good female candidate, Cllr. Sandra Mc Lellan running for Sinn Féin. She's well worth a vote.

I'd recommend Paul Bradford and David Stanton.

But you've not told us why, ROC.

On another Cork East thread, you denounced Paul Bradford as having had no achievements of any kind to point to over his political career.

When you were asked what Sandra McEllan had done in her 2 years as a Town Cllr. that merited elevation to the Dáil, you vanished off the thread in a sulk.

So tell us - what has she done?

BarryW, that will be a decision for the electorate of East Cork to make on election day.

Yup. And if yokel's like Rockofcashel can't defend their words on here, its a sad reflection of what is happening to this lady on the doorsteps..

    On this thread, Rockofcashel demanded:
in 20 years as a Parliamentarian.. list off Paul Bradford's major contributions to Irish political life
when meriwether and myself replied with a decent list, and we then asked:
What has Sandra McEllan achieved in her 3 years as a Town Councillor that is deserving of being elected to the Dáil ?
    to which Rockofcashel replied:
    another thread ruined.. bye bye
I sincerely hope that Ms. McLellan has the ability to respond to points made by grown ups - and not storm off in a sulk every time she is challenged, like our pathetic friend from Cashel

I'm a floating voter and if you can give me a good reason why Sandra Mc Lellan is "well worth a vote", than she might get mine.

Hi Joy. I'm a floating voter from North Cork and will be voting for the youngest canditate in the field this time and that is Sean Sherlock of labour. He is from Mallow.

I am not voting on age alone but credibility, ability and also the fact that from a work ethic point of view he has been one of the hardest working canditates in the last three years.

Alot of my friends will be doing the same and those who are party affiliated will be giving him a vote also.

    Very impressive

Sandra Mclennan will also be getting a high preference from me.
