No one would ever be that stupid?

How about the candidate that marched up to a grave in east Cork last week -and boldly canvassed the mourning family before the earth was filled in on their loved ones coffin?

Plenty of stupid and ignorant people in politics Staiting the Obvious.

Also just in case you still dont get it - The SF candidates who did get elected in 2007 -recieved away and above their party's national poll figure -and so will McLellan. Dont take my word for it -ask around among your own and the other big parties activists working on the ground!

you have to tell us who did that Murph.
    that is appalling.
i hope they told the candidate where to go

it should get a thread on its own to be honest, in order to fully draw attention to the candidate and his/her party

I disagree there. Most NS live in carrigaline these days. Very hard to find Navy types living in Cobh.
The town council is a joke.

If you were the canvassing type Dohville, you would know that every third or fourth house you would call to in Cobh has or had somone who is or was a member of the naval service.

What the council has got to do with that i would love to know?

On a seperate matter, ya the council is a joke!

Will not reveal the follow the coffin candidate now, lest I'm accused of trying to influence the outcome of the election contest.

It will come out after however, if the family or other mourners dont expose it before then.

Is this actually true lads? It doesnt surprise me but it sounds a bit exaggerated to be honest.

On the McLellan topic, there must be some amount of anger out there if she is canvassing so well in M'town, I live there and have never seen her face on anything but a lamp post over the last 5/6 years, not in a newspaper nor in person. She has no profile up this side of the constituency so it is quite remarkable that she is doing so well.

Got my first canvassers over the weekend, 2 of them called as they know us personally so it was more social than anything, another "candidate" didnt even bother showing his face at the door, sent his brother instead although to be fair he knew there wasnt a hope in hell of a vote from my house.

Anyone read The Avondhu this week? It may be a red-top but it's true colours are well and truly blue! Huge coverage for O'Driscoll and Barry, all positive. Piece for Barry was positively fawning over him!
