    Baxter winds McDaid up

Anyone see Questions and Answers last night? Labour candidate, Hugh Baxter, accused Fianna Failers as acting like feudal lords towards Roscommon, treating it as turf to be fought over! Jim McDaid was on the show and he was furious! When he responded, Baxter just laughed at him - a classic wind up me'thinks. Very, very funny.

Jim Mc Daid is easily infuriated, thats why he won't get my vote. Also I am opposed to dual mandate which is why I would vote for Hughie Baxter unlike Mc Daid.

You won't be voting for Senator Higgins either then JohnJoe?

Read on the IT today that the commercial group that Labour employed to erect Euro posters in Roscommon received a batch of De Rossa posters by mistake! Won’t be too easy for the Roscommon loyal Labour electorate to vote for De Rossa. Roscommon is supposed to be festooned with these posters now.

Forgive me if I'm wrong, but I think he's a doctor. He ran in Roscommon-Longford in the last election and he didn't poll so well, only got a few hundred votes.

In spite of Labour's sharp turn to the right over the past decade, he still remains the only progressive candidate in Connaught-Ulster, a bastion of clerical reaction.

An engineer then eh? Sorry, my memory is a little hazy of the last general election. I was just below voting age, though would have spoilt it anyway.
