To be quite honest this woman will be no loss she herself has done very little for the people of Galway west . She was at a meeting i was at back in September and to say the least she was very critical of the current administration and also her fellow party TD's in Galway west. I am very surprised she has left it this long to resign from the party one must question what are the real motives for her decision??

What's that supposed to mean Dunny ?
The way I read it, she resigned from the PP because she does have honour. Isn't it possible she wants to disassociate herself from a dishonourable party who lied their way into power in 2002?

She is still a member of Fianna Fáil. If she has so much honour, let her resign completely from the Organisation.

Im not going to get into exactly what you say there but she was on the ticket in 2002 and had no prob with running for FF then

She is politically dead wherever she goes. FF councillors will not elect her now and Labour dont have enough votes to get another senator elected

Why, because she criticised the Govt for failing to deliver breast check / decent hospital services? Well blind me, but isn't that the role of elected representatives - to represent the mandate ? As opposed to being a pissboy for FF.

This could well be the least convincing 'in principle' resignation in history. It's a pity the poll wasn't held off until now and we'd see how little support she has. She was never a convincing politician and this is the end of her.

The idea that Galway is neglected is a joke.

If she felt so strongly about it, why didnt she resign a year or 2 ago,. Why has she left it until 7 weeks to polling day? Its clearly an electoral decision on her part!!
