    So after supporting every cruel and unusual decision of the Government over the last 10 years, she resigns with 10 days left in her Oireachtas career.......

    What a joke.

    This reminds me of Clare Shortt's resignation from New Labour - she stayed in and supported Blair when it mattered, and resigned when nobody gave a crap anymore

    Confirmed she will not run for another political party in the election on RTE lunchtime news but did say that possibility that another party would do a better job on delivering for the west was "an interesting question".
    I would say there are strong chances that Cox will make a solo run in this election. She's been planning this for at least a year - hence her timing in announcing the PP resignation today.

    Yes this would suggest she's strongly considering going as an independent, there's absolutely no other rationale behind it. Good news on our front here though
