Conlon to take Seat in cavan Monaghan

Margaret Conlon will take seat in Cavan monaghan for FF- with the level of experience in people backing her - her populatity and support she is genuinely getting from the councillors who are all backing her. She also is very propular in the school she works in and have no doubt that all the parents will give her full support- she has also brought in been in discussion with previous co councillors who are putting their full support behing her

I have no doubt she will end up at the least as a junior minister in the next FF government -

    Welcome to Politics.ie, Margaret.....

But seriously, you haven't a hope of winning a seat. Sorry to be the person to break it to you.

(Oh, and by the way - self-praise is no praise)

I think we have a template for everyone to work from now from here on out.
Dan Sullivan. I was back but we still couldn't all have a vote.

That's another misleading title. It insinuated that a poll had being carried out in Cavan/Monaghon.

The fianna fail forum is  way

I dont doubt that Margaret Conlon could take a seat, but the rest of the post is laughable (bar the bit about her popularity in the Louis, which i cannot comment on) She has damn all support from councillors in her area. Most of them feel shafted. Even Padraig McNally, the most experienced of the FF on MCC demanded an interview on Northern Sound to explain that he had been begged by the party to run and had refused. Robbie wont back her in a meaningful way and good luck trying to get anyone in Mid Mon or Clones to support from within the COuncil.

Having said that even in a disastrous local election in 2004 there were 8500 ff first prefs in County Monaghan. The issue is really if she doesnt take the seat its a disaster for FF in Monaghan or more accurately for FF headquarters policy in the last two elections of enforcing candidates on the people in FF in County Monaghan.

This is cruel guys. I came back from Kerry last night to do some canvassing in Ballybay, my home place. Margaret is getting an excellent reception and we will definitely be in the running for the last seat with Paudge C. We are confident we will stay ahead of him.
