I heard the start of his show earlier, it was Jim Power and yer man from the bus drivers' union, Dermot O'Leary, the two of them were like two feral cats in an alley way, Sean handled it well.

He was offside with her, in the part I heard before turning off. He went off on irrelevant tangents relating SF, NAMA and the North, instead of dealing with her as a member of PAC, and addressing the big issues around NAMA.

They'd want to have done something appalling for him to do that.

I think there is nothing wrong with giving a lot of coverage to the GAA , the fact is a lot of people are interested in it and especially given the week that is in it , the All Ireland finals are as much a cultural event to the country as they are a sporting event.

Although it is questionable as to why he would have two politicians on to preview the match.

O'Rourke is very good in political interviews. He really knows his stuff and let's nothing pass. There are so many clueless "interviewers" around who will let a blatant lie or distortion drift by because they simply do not have the facts to challenge it.

O'Rourke gets stuck in because he is a pure political nerd, totally on top of his game.

But on non-political topics he is dull and sometimes clueless. His cultural tastes are narrow and conventional.

    Politics is his thing.

That is why I am not sure that he is suitable for a varied 2 hour morning show that must cover a wide range of topics and assume many different tones.

They should have left him on the News At One.

    Why?
She was on talking about Aud. Gen's report.
How was yer man above in Belfast giving tutorials to people coming before his own committee to be questioned about that whole issue a 'tangent'?
She then started into a diversionary soliloquy about the tribunals down here - SHE started that one!
And the disgusting crimes of FF and FG that were revealed over all those decades - and how SF was not mired in that.
And he slapped her back in her box about the current senior people in her party and what they were engaged in over those same years.
So the princess could get off the high horse.
