Good to hear voices and perspectives from the Unionist Community in Irish media debate.

Shame it’s only during points of crisis (like Brexit) that their views are heard.

Yes, we need to clue into that alright. They have a lot of catching up to do in the old evolution process seeing as they're only around for 6,000 years vs our millions.

what is it about RTE and morbid coverage of the health service in this country.

Blaming the HSE for not paying for this drug is poor form.
The HSE can't be expected to pay exorbitant fees to drug companies who play on people by offering temporary "Compassion schemes"

It's not uncommon for rte populist shows to influence the allocation of medical care.

An example a while back was of an elderly gentleman who got a place in a nursing home and who requested that his wife also got a place. She was denied a place. After this Jeooow Dhuffy whistled up the usual mob and the resultant pressure resulted in the mans wife getting the place.

What Jeooow and the mob, ( including other elements of our non- critical media) never, ever asked was who had to go without a nursing home place to accomodate this lady?

So allocation of scarce health resources was done in this cases, not by medical need or medical experts, but by rte led mob rule.

Claire, the resident airhead, revels in morbidity. She'll have her usual slot about homelessness later.
