The key witness won't talk to them. Instead, the 22 year old patriot chooses to go on air and cry to the agony uncle, Joe Duffy.

Better story on now - an entire garda unit sent with sheriff etc and raiding a business to collect €1,400 from a business man!

A school pal of mine - since deceased - took part in the demonstrations at the GPO during the Hunger Strikes in the early 1980's.
If you recall the demonstrations were at the height of the Maze Hunger Strikes and the Gardai had to adopt riot tactics to remove the demonstrators from the GPO.

My pal was photographed at the demonstration that preceded the attempt to storm the GPO.
Photographs of him at the demonstration were sent to his employers.
In fact the same photos turned up in a civil case in the USA many years later.

Being fair, if the special branch are following you around and prevent you getting a job you'd feel hard done by too!

Maybe someone should pull him to one side and tell him it's because he hung around with a possible murderer

Duffy did not succeed in shouting him down, as he tends to do in these situations.

some scumbags here seem to find the idea of Gardai laughing & joking at a murder scene, to be ok.

I hate RTE on many , many levels, but why is RTE giving this thug publicity...

He is vermin. At this stage, the RIRA have turned this into a Meeja coup courtesy of the Meeja.

The Gardai were right in not attempting to arrest the toy soldiers at the funeral. would have hurt some "innocent" and then there would be folk songs about the "oppression".

Black flags and tricolours need to go from the lampposts though. This is not west belfast.

Really ? Where did he ask this ****************************** about the validity of blowing up a young cop in N.I. for the sole reason that he was a Catholic ? Pour décourager les autres I assume.

Impressive? He sounded like a pathetic, ignorant, deluded, terrorist, fool. Note that I said "sounded like".

We're the scumbags, not the fella who boasts of being friends with a member of the IRA?
