Theres a lot of information coming out in Bolivia about the support groupto the Flores gang.
The info on the computers is revealing a lot of names.Retired Army generals including one dismissed for losing weapons under his control (suspected of having CIA links). Vehicles used etc. It's begining to feel like Chile pre the Coup on Allende.
read the La prensa article. Google Translate
Theres also an article in the same paper that says that 3.2 of the 9 million Bolivians are extreemly poor. Child malnutrition etc.

The Israelis are now accusing Bolivia and Venezuela of supplying Uranium to Iran for nuclear purposes.

In january Evo Morales severed diplomatic relations with Isreal over the Gaza bombings.

Israel: Venezuela Supplying Iran Nukes - CBS News

This might indicate that Israel would favor "regime change" in both of these countries.

True, true. Clear then why Alejandro Melgar Pereyra fled Bolivia...according to that La Prensa piece
| LA PRENSA | LA PAZ - BOLIVIA
Aerolinea says Melgar Pereyra paid flights (Madrid - Santa Cruz - Madrid) for 8 folks of ERF's group.

Still, US immigration has to answer why ERF could travel to the US using a fake name...

It has been mentioned above, but I thought a fuller abstract of the La Prensa article of 4 June might usefully be put on record here, any translation errors excepted:

The Santa Cruz lawyer Alejandro Melgar Pereyra paid $21,316.50 in cash for the purchase of 11(?) air tickets on the route Madrid-Santa Cruz-Madrid for eight members of the militia led by Eduardo Rosza Flores. This is challenged by Melgar's father, Johnny Melgar Castedo. The Irishman Michael Dwyer, the Hungarians Tibor Revesz, Elod Toaso, Daniel Gaspar and Gabor Dudog, the Slovak Ivan Pistovcak, the Romanian Arpad Magyarosi and the Bolivian-Croatian Mario Tadic arrived in Santa Cruz with passages paid by Melgar. Rosza, Dwyer and Magyarosi died on the morning of 16 April in a police operation carried out on the fourth floor of the Hotel Las Americas, while Toaso and Tadic were captured alive and are currently being held in La Paz.

According to information provided by AeroSur, the suspected mercenaries Dwyer, Revesz, Dudog and Pistovcak came to Santa Cruz on November 17 last year from Madrid. Daniel Gaspar was the first of the outsiders to arrive in Bolivia and his presence in Santa Cruz goes back to 6 November. Revesz and Pistovcak left the country on February 22 this year as did Gaspar on March 25, while there is no record from AeroSur of the date of departure of Dudog. The Hungarian ambassador in Argentina, currently in Bolivia, stated that Gaspar and Dudog are in Budapest.

Under the identity of Jorge Hurtado Flores, Eduardo Rosza Flores since his arrival in Bolivia made 90 trips, of which 12 were outside the country. The president of the multiparty commission investigating the case of alleged terrorism, Cesar Navarro, announced yesterday that he sent to the Prosecutor a copy of the AeroSur report on travel by Flores, as well as the foreigners Dwyer, Toaso, Gaspar, Pistovcak, Revesz, Dudog, Tadic and Magyarosi. The parliamentarian indicated that the banking transactions of the suspected financiers of the irregular group were being investigated, among whom were mentioned Hugo Antonio Acha Melgar, Alejandro Melgar Pereyra, Luis Alberto Hurtado Vaca, Orlando Justiniano, Hector Laguna Paniagua and Edgardo Cuellar.

The journeys of Eduardo Rosza Flores alias Jorge Hurtado Flores are itemised, including trips to the city of Cobija (Pando) in 2006, Sao Palo, Madrid, Buenos Aires, Asuncion in Paraguay and Miami (three occasions). The last foreigners to arrive in Bolivia were Mario Tadic Astorga on February 11 this year and Arpad Magyarosi on February 20, both travelling from Madrid.

End of abstract.

Note: Reports in the Irish media indicate that Revesz and Pistovcak may be in this country.

From La Prensa
| LA PRENSA | LA PAZ - BOLIVIA
Quote:
In an email sent to the Slovak Ivan Pistovcák, the late Eduardo Rózsa Flores revealed the names of board members or visible heads , the movement's leaders, who had spoken on other occasions as "the guys”.
The militia leader said that the supreme council of the group was formed by "Rubén Costas Aguilera (governor-elect), Branko Marinkovic (president of the Civic Committee, an organization with great influence, it is also called by the Government of Santa Cruz Moral ), Eduardo Paz (president of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry), Mauricio Roca (President of the Chamber of agriculture and livestock of eastern Bolivia), Germán Antelo (former president of the Civic Committee) and current owner of the Cooperative Rural Electrification
They have all denied knowledge of this with the exception of Marinkovic who declines all cooments to the media.
From the emails It is also clear from questions asked by Pistovcák that he is aware that the group is clandestine. He was concerned whether the authorities knew of their existence.
Rózsa said that he intended to train a group of 1000 militia. Pistovcák was among the first to leave. We now know he is still employed by IRMS.
In another email
Quote:
Pistovcák, who is part of the "agency" guidance paramilitary wing founded by Tibor Révész, asked Rózsa if he was sure it was anticommunist. "It can not be more anticommunist. In addition to the ideological identity of the movement, here (in Bolivia) are facing other levels: whites against Indians, for example. See syndrome of Rhodesia or South Africa.”
Other info from the article
Rózsa made comparison between Santa Cruz and Kosovo. Didnt the expelled US ambassador do work there. (the Bolivian Govt arent stupid)

Elod Toases had a program on his computer for altering passports.

The man in the photograph of the passport of Révész is not the same as that shown on the internet

In other Bolivian News:

HRF Bolivia has been going through some turmoil with 4 of the 7 original founding members resigning. It has attempted to restore its local standing by appointing Lidia Gueiler Tejada as chairperson. She is a former nterim President of Bolivia serving in that role for 9 months in 1979/80. She is 87 and retired from public life in the mid 90’s.

Incidentally Alejandro Melgar who purchased the tickets is son of Jonny Melgar a leading attorney and former vice governor of Santa Cruz.

Oh Dear God....

Bolivian security forces are apparently looking for two more Irish-based securo-monkeys, one of whom is apparently a serving member of the Irish army reserve:
Quote:
The Sunday Times has seen copies of CVs held on the laptop of Eduardo Rosza Flores, the group’s leader, which security sources say were those of applicants to join his “private army”.

Two of the CVs are from Irish passport-holders, one of whom originally comes from Hungary. They are not among the three eastern Europeans known to have worked with Dwyer at IRMS, the security firm that protects Shell’s gas-pipeline project in Mayo.

Dwyer told his family he was going to Bolivia for a “training course”. At this stage police merely want to question the two Irishmen, who have not been accused of wrongdoing. They want to know what contacts they had with Flores and Dwyer and how they became aware of Flores’s recruitment process. One has a home address in the midlands and, according to his CV, served in the Irish Army in the 1990s. He then worked for a private security firm in the Middle East. An army spokesman said yesterday that the man is, in fact, a serving member of the reserve forces.

The second man is Erik Imre Benedek. His address was listed as Mayo, but yesterday he was in Hungary from where he confirmed he had known Dwyer. He worked as a security guard in Hungary, then for IRMS.
So one private mercenary fresh from the Irish Army and securowork in the Middle East (Iraq?), the other a Hungarian national (now back in Hungary, who had lived in Mayo and knew Dwyer from IRMS (Mayo, IRMS, securo-work, I don't know how that doesn't spell 'Shell').

Dwyer, to whom I gave the benefit of the doubt for along time, MUST have known why he was there in Bolivia. The level of Forrest Gump-like boneheadedness and innocence required would have to be off the scale in order for him not to. Question now is, how many more like him live here?

The Irish Times did report initially that he travelled from Ireland to Washington, and then onto Bolivia. Surely his travel details are not that hard to establish? Who did Michael Dwyer meet in Washington?
