Time to dig out those radiation tablets we were all sent a few years back me thinks!

Quote:
Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad says the nation will deliver a harsh blow to the "global arrogance" on this year's anniversary of the Islamic Revolution.

"The Islamic Revolution opened a window to liberty for the human race, which was trapped in the dead ends of materialism," Ahmadinejad said during a cabinet meeting on Sunday.

"If the Islamic Revolution had not occurred, liberalism and Marxism would have crushed all human dignity in their power-seeking and money-grubbing claws. Nothing would have remained of human and spiritual principles," he added.

Ahmadinejad said that in the three decades of its history, the Islamic Revolution had inspired some great developments in the world.

The Iranian president made the remarks as the 31st anniversary of the Islamic Revolution approaches.

Iranians are expected to pour into the streets on February 11 to celebrate the occasion in public rallies across the country, as they have done annually over the past three decades.

Probably going to put the S-300 on parade.

If it involves anything like unveiling a viable nuclear weapon, Israel will ensure there is no Iran by February 12th.

Sounds to me like Ahmedinejad doing what Ahmedinejad does best: getting the west's knickers in a knot.

Seems like he's succeeding....

Maybe he'll shoot down incoming Israeli planes.

Why would Iran unveil a nuclear weapon? Well Jesus first of all, where would it get it? Secondly, how would Israel ensure there'd be no Iran by February 12th? Hocus pokus? Israel doesn't have the means to overcome Irans defense grid.

Really? The only people reporting it are Iranian media.

To me it doesn't seem like anybody is getting their knickers in a twist except a few cranks on politics.ie. I would go as far as to suggest that there won't even be a response from a Western Government to his comments. You might therefore say on that measure, he is failing.

He was referring to a blow to their arrogance, not his intentions of measuring a media response. And, if it is a parade of the S-300 as suspected, it'll do just that. They'll think twice launching an air-offensive when its purchase is confirmed. A blow to their arrogant stance.

Nobody ever unveils produces one nuclear weapon and unveils it, you make a bunch and get them armed and ready in secret locations and THEN you unveil a single example of the weapon (if you want to unveil it at all, Israel has made do with rumors used to spread fear of it's nuclear potential).

Ahmadinejad is a bit of a joke and i cannot be certain if he is really the anti-West clown he appears to be or one of their agents...
