Baltic wars? Slobodan Milosevic? You don't work for Mossad by any chance, do you? You'd be perfect for them!

2) They'll have their proxy armies fire tens of thousands of rockets at Israel out of Lebanon. This is what the 2006 invasion was about. Israel failed to removed that deterrant.
3) They'll have their proxy armies in Iraq slaughter US G.I.'s
4) They'll hit refineries in Kuwait and Saudi Arabia with MRBM's
5) They'll hit US Warships.

Those are just for starters and it'll be within the first week when we'll see whether or not Iran has chemical weapons. Because if they have WMD in any form, that will be it.
I think you overestimate their abilities. Like all vicious regimes they are actually only good at repressing their own people. The same guff was said about Saddam's Republican Guard who we were assured were a crack force. They were pussies and disappeared at the first sound of gunfire

Iran to finally prove that they can build a balloon sculpture of a wiener dog?

I don't remember being 'assured' of any such thing. It was always a foregone conclusion that the invasion of Iraq would be a walkover, but the occupation would be rather more tricky. That was why Iraq was invaded and why Iran, despite all the bluster, will not be. They can fight back.

I suspect something has been lost - or more likely gained - in the translation of what he actually said

Unless Mahmoud Ahmadinejad is as stupid as Saddam Hussein (cannot be ruled out) or more so, this hypothetical scenario of yours will not happen! If the Iranians accomplished even a few of the items on your list, particularly the first item, the US along with an enormous list of allies would crush Iran. Unlike the last Iraq war there would be negligible opposition in the UN except for OPEC and Russia perhaps; by themselves they do not count enough to stop all the others.

Firstly no 'guff' was stated about the Republican Guard. Nobody expected them to be a serious threat. Secondly, I don't know which war you're referring to, but they didn't 'dissappear' at the first round. They fought a pretty stiff fight up untill the 9th of April with ancient weapons.

They rendered the Apache all but useless. Using weapons nowhere near as dangerous as Irans, the Republican Guard for example mauled 34 Apaches in one night, on the 24th/3 I believe.
