road isn't finished yet. And as anyone knows, Tara is not just a hill. But ok i'll admit the above is a bit of a stretch but we can talk about Fianna Fail's treatment of Georgian Dublin in the 70's instead if you like

Or simply about how the country has been bankrupted under their watch.

No need for the Tara debate again here. We lost. You won. We disagree. As for Georgian Dublin, here's Charlie's personal architect's, the late Sam Stephenson, work on the Georgian mile. A picture says a thousand words about Fianna Fail's thought for heritage in Ireland. Georgian Dublin was seen as nothing but a colonial relic rather than the unique gem we now know it to be.

Y'see pesky history gets in the way of builders - the State in this case

Europe- Fianna Fail realises that Ireland needs to be at the heart of Europe in order for us to get the benefit of the union.

Republicanism- I believe in the re-unification of Ireland by peaceful means and i believe Fianna Fail can deliever that.

For me Fianna Fail just was a party to which i could look and say thats what i believe in. Fianna Fail is a broad church which includes many different groups but i believe that is a strength, it is never a bad thing to have different groups expressing differing points of view.

Do you still believe in Santa Claus....

There have been a few answers to the question along these lines. An understandable response depending on one's point of view but clearly not what the party actually stands for but rather a description of the behaviour of some of its elected officials and their buddies.
In fact it is clear from the lack of clear responses from FFers that they don't stand for anything much except some superficial notion of 'Irishness' without any details of what it means. It really is time for the ideological meaning of FF (and the other parties) to be debated in public and beyond the narrow realm of Internet message boards. Anyone got any idea on how this can get kick-started?
