Because of the 10th anniversary of the EMU and the creation of the Euro, we now have the chance to vote for which design we would like to see on the new coin. The design that receives the highest number of votes will be chosen as the winner, and the prize is a set of collectors coins (though if your not into keeping them I'm sure they would buy you a couple of pints )

Anyway, the coin to the very right appears to be in the lead, so if we all choose that one our chances of winning improve, although I personally find the second one more tasteful, Good luck.

Voted for this, but tbh I don't like any of the designs so it's a matter of choosing the least-worst. Not a great deal of imagination on display sadly.

Thats great, we gave away control over interest rates and exchange rates (two relevant, powerful and useful monetary tools) so we could vote on this crap.

Do you think being able to control our interest rates would have allowed us to shepherd the housing boom which turned into a bubble despite mortgage interest being around 5%? There's another thread around by Michael Hennigan on this.

I simply hate the design of ALL Euro coins. How the elderly or poor sighted manage is beyond me. Bring back quirky coins that are decidedly different in shape and size.
