Unfortunately, I did. If I had seen the author’s association with the Cato Institute before I began I likely would not have bothered.

The general thrust of the thing reminds me in a way of the Schlaffly/Lenski debacle.

Nothing conspiratorial about it, they couldnt put up the data therefore they are full of it. In a court of law they would be laughed out of the place!

If the evidence underpinning the biggest round of mass taxation ever doesn't exist, neither should the taxes.
But for the layman, the fact that this alleged phenomenon has changed names more time than a mafia snitch should give the game away. Global cooling, only it got warmer. Global warming, only it got cooler. Climate 'change' (aka weather).
