Tom Raine is the lads name, from Waterford, an impressive achievement it must be said. He used facebook and bebo to mobilise the young people in the area to vote, evidently it has paid dividends.

You can listen to him here,http://www.rte.ie/news/elections/pla...59057,real,209

Hmmm....You would have to wonder if the boy has the suitable skills and experience for the job. I'm all for young people getting involved, but they need to learn the ropes a bit first as to the ways of the world.....19 is pretty darn young, he should be off sowing his wild oats. We shall see how he does anyway.

22 yr old. Cllr David McGuinness was elected to the Mulhuddart ward of Fingal County Council. Knocking Cllr Paul Donnelly of his seat for SF and Coming ahead of a Labour Cllr who is also the Mayor!
