They use the offices of the EU Commission and then they claim expenses for running an office even though the office they use is already paid for by the EU Commission and as no one checks their expenses they get ot pocket the money they've claimed - same scam as when they claim first class flights but fly economy - no one checks they just pay the claim. So we pay for the office in Dawson Street and then we pay for the office they claim which doesn't exist. It's a great scam. Sure why wouldn't PAt the Cope wantanother 5 years in Brussels to top up his pension and bled the expense system dry.

That may be Eoin Ryan's way of providing an office in his constituency, but Proinsias de Rossa maintains an office in Dublin seperate from any EU institution. His constitency office is located in Liberty Hall on Eden Quay.

The costs of this constituency office is met by parliamentary expenses as Proinsias has detaile on his website:

Quote:
MEPs are allocated a monthly allowance of 4352.00 to cover the costs of equipping and running a constituency office, for travel, and other expenditure related to membership of the European Parliament, in their home state. I maintain a bank account in Ireland for the general expenditure allowance separately from my personal account, and only use it for the purposes intended. I rent and maintain an office in Liberty Hall where my Dublin based staff work and where I operate from, when I am in Dublin.
