You said that I assumed you were Irish. I said that I did not assume you were Irish. In fact there is no evidence anywhere to suggest that. So by asumming that I assumed you in fact assumed yourself. Don't follow? I'm not surprised.

So one more time...you assumed something about me which was incorrect, ie that I assumed that you were Irish.

Now....since you ignored it twice...how do you justify saying I assumed something when I did not, and yet you yourself assumed something?
too late pea brain - you had a chance. Reread your own nonsense....you made a statement rather than asked a question.....

Many in Spain, Catalunya, Barcelona might have a few problems with the idea of Stalin being such a nice guy, due to the "civil war within the civil war", which Orwell and many others experienced, wrote about, were tortured in, died in.

Quote:
“Rosa de Foc” is Catalan for “rose of fire”, which was what Barcelona was called during Spain’s civil war 1936-39, when it was the heart of resistance against the fascist coup led by Franco, as well as being, for a short while perhaps the best example of an anarchist revolution in action, until its bloody end in the “civil war within the civil war”, when Stalin’s communist forces quelled the revolution, George Orwell wrote much about these tragic events in his acclaimed novel “Homage to Catalonia” which he later portrayed in his later more famous book, “Animal Farm”- His story was the loose basis for the excellent film Tierra y Libertad / land and freedom by Ken Loach )

It generally has involved murder, torture and tyranny.

And you can be damn sure it would take murder, torture and tyranny to get me to follow socialism down the dark path which it inevitably leads us all.

The question was implied.

You assumed that I assumed you are Irish.

So here's the question; how can you throw out an insult saying someone assumed something when they did not, and in that insult assume something incorrect yourself?

Hope that's not too complex.

Your move! (I'll take your continued reluctence to answer as an admission of defeat).

"Stalinism - the true path to economic and personal freedom "

Is this for real? The same Joseph Stalin who over-ran half of Eastern Europe? Killed millions of people? And on top of that had millions of people tortured, brutalised and killed? Uncle Joe wasn't at all nice, i'm afraid.

Ah come on now. I've shown you up once already....and you have shown yourself up a few times.

After your assertion about the gulags being necessary, everybody knows your not really a communist.

I bet you probably live in some middle class house in Dublin, you're about 16 years old, and you fancy yourself as a great debater. Hence you have embarked on this social experiement to see if you can convince yourself that people will somehow take you seriously if you make some outlandish statement such as Stalin was a great leader. Even the thred title includes the words "economic and personal freedom".The one thing we can say about Stalin is that he was not a fan of personal freedom, or economic freedom.

So I reckon you are about 16...hence your continued insults when you are losing a logical battle. You reckon if you convince a few folks you are real then you will have won. That is the equivalent of robbing an old person simply because you canjust to prove you are great.

So are you 16 or younger?
