I'd say if we checked in safes, under matresses of FF members we'd find plent of cash in used untraceable notes.

This is the main policy suggestion from the Zimbabwe School of Economics. The School's chief economist, Mr. Robert Mugabe has used this policy to stimulate the economy of one small African nation. As a result many new billionaires were created almost overnight. Mr. Mugabe has since stepped down from his post, and is rumoured to have accepted a new position at Anglo Irish Bank.

freestate euros start with x on the serial.

this is the famous quantitative easing which also includes govts lending moneys to financial institutes (happening) and the other part is the buying of govt bonds (which may happen with the ECB buying Irish and other PIIGS bonds.

So as crazy as the idea sounds its already happening and in a fairly big way with the chance that it will get bigger. Why bother printing the physical notes.

Fianna Fail - the party of economics records.

They probably lost it due to the collapse in the equity of Gerry's second house in Donegal

The Bank of Ireland as I understand it still prints Irish money in the form of Irish Euros.

So why dont we just keep the printers running day and night?

Flood the market with Millions/Billions of Euros, pay all our debts, look after the banks, and dont say a thing. Buy up foreign bonds for security.

Whats the worst that could happen? Our Euros would just dissapear into the European Euro market, nobody would be the wiser if a few extra billion Euros from Ireland were being flushed about?

And by the time Europe found if they ever did, providing we did it on the QT out we would be flush with money and the European Bank would have to sort the problem out!
Might be better printing US dollars. There's a few people round who might know a bit about that

Dont worry, I'm sure many millions has been scammed since then. The amount of money that moved recently during the crisis was the perfect cover for crooks to clean money with no questions asked.
