| Denis Lynch who reached the showjmping individual final today has withdrawn along with another 3 competitiors. As the horse successfully completed his medical for the final we can only but speculate why. And invariably the possibility of a positive drugs test must be considered. There will be a news conference at 11am as to why the 4 had to withdraw from today's final.

Your thread title make him look guilty before he is even charged.

| RTE.ie make it sound like he withdrew because of impending weather conditions (apparently a typhoon is on the way) don't you think it would be odd for 4 athletes to withdraw BEFORE the competition if it was due to drugs?

That not a good reason to for giving the thread the title you gave it. I think it would have been better if you speculated within the post rather than in the title.

| 1025: Bombshell news from the show jumping... A number of horses have tested positive for banned substances - don't know which ones or what substance. Four have been disqualified from tonight's finale - and they will also be dq'd from the team event a few days ago. GB finished 7th in the team event - so we don't think it would affect them - but we believe it could affect the medals. Think something should develop in next 10 mins with a press conference at 1100 BST. ==== Copied from BBC |
