Default New Irish language newspaper launched

An Irish language newspaper backed by the British and Irish governments was launched today.

Lá Nua will be produced from west Belfast and the Donegal Gaeltacht and will be published five days a week.

It will also offer podcasts, an online version and an entry on YouTube, a website offering home video.RTE News

Has it any connection with the (thankfully) deceased Daily Ireland?

I don't think calling it new is accurate. It's just Lá with a facelift and more features. Looks good though.
