Do you realise how sinister that statement sounds?

Mr Clarkson is the best thing the environmental campaign has going. He is secretly an environmentalist. He loves nature, albeit from the wheel of a Zonda see here.

True, his arguments are outlandish. but I think he's an environmentalist. He may have a thing against windmills, but so do many greens, using the same arguments. But it is Mr Clarkson who can bring motoring Britain with him, when he effuses on a new green technology.

Eco Terrorists; Defending the earth, our kids, and maybe yours too

Yep, call us ECO TERRORISTS if you want, its what the cops in England define us as...

Theres always been people talking about the dangers of our present unsustainable system, how its bound to crack soon (in fact many of us feel 2008 was that crack when the financial system´s bubble burst, hence the "crisis" we are in now) and how we need to change things, QUICK.

Unfortunately, due to 30 years of unresponsible global governance (There is no people, never mind those crazy eco people) we now have lots of rain in Ireland, fires in Southern Europe, messed up agriculture and ever growing climate chaos...

So with all this, YES, people are waking up, taking action, looking for attention, trying to raise an awareness with people about the severity of the situation, as well as continuing to take action to deal with the main causes of climate change...

CLIMATE CAMP MOVEMENT

4 years ago, people in england tried to shut down a power station, the year aften more joined in the struggle, we targeted heathrow, last year we targeted Kingsnorth coal burning station in england, and this year, we had our first climate camp in ireland, to brings people attention to irelands destruction and burning of our bogs...

Whats it all about? heres a short vid from last year

from that days action you can see how the Kingsnorth 6 have gone on to get the Queens legal system to give them the thumbs up for the action "indeed, this station will lead to the deaths of millions if it goes ahead" (paraphrasing for the success in arguing "lawful excuse") - The guardian has a nice vid about their struggle - the hows and whys of why people become "eco terrorists"

And as to the goings on of the wider English movement, last week they SWOOPED on the city of london, and yes, they carried out a hi number of attention seeking actions, why, because unfortunately most people either
A- dont get it yet, its adapt or die (2 degree change and we enter vicios feedback loop, probably end for humans soon enough), OR
B - People do get it, and simply dont care

Anyway, thankfully the movement(s) are growing, COP 15 in Denmark is the next big talk about how to sort the problems...

It affects all of us, of course, including mr clarkson.
its not as easy as just flipping ones entire life around, no, it takes little steps.

So yes, for another while you can expect more of these actions.

The camp had a drink and drug free onsite policy, of course a few pints were had in all 3 of the pubs, which is where the community leason work happened, as well as helping quite well local economy in these times of crisis; All in all, from talking to locals, i have family in the next town, we were very well recieved despite earlier local fears that their lovely village would be in danger due to cider swilling drug taking ignorant punks. Personally, the atmosphere we created i think was admirable.

We visited;
- Killeens benefited mostly, a fine bar, lots of top music and wide range of people
- lukers, where they allowed us to put on dvd screenings of the powerdown series, where we hope the documentary will get its premiere
- Bridge inn, the quietest of the 3 where a few quiet sups were had.

In fact, many said that our parade was the the best thing to happen to the town in a long long time, smiles and color everywhere


All those arrested took non violent direct action and most expected to be arrested prior to their action, their actions founded on their beliefs and the lengths they are willing to take to change things for the better

I wont be going to copenhagen, but support those who are, ill be here with many more in barcelona (where i live) taking action in solidarity with rest around planet seeking change (like peruvian indegenous, many now massacred, to name but 1 who are fighting to protect the destruction of their home, 70% of peruvian amazonian rainforest) - what do you do about things, by the way... (Perhaps you have a little bit too much time on your hands)

Unfortunately most people unfamiliar with these techniques still see NVDA (NON-violent direct action) as violent ransacking of cities.
the vast majority of us who put our bodies on the line are peaceful, constructive, inclussive and doing what they can to change their own little worlds; house, friends, community...

I despair at these protesters, Only greens would dump something as incredibly useful as Horse manure on someones lawn as a protest.
I know that they don't buy into j clarckson being truly wicked. they are just piggybacking on his reputation. But compared to him i am a monster, i burn car tires to keep crows away.

Why we are all climate camp followers now
(a few cuts from a positive Times article about recent UK climate camp.... There the attitude is changing, and in the dear old "green isle"..hhhhmmmm)

My, how the green movement has changed. Of course, they have always been less barking than the animal rights brigade, but judging by these well-spoken climate campers, the modern eco-activist is now so socially acceptable that he is just one spritz of deodorant from becoming mainstream.



From Scotland, Cornwall, Newcastle upon Tyne and Manchester they came to pitch tents and join the leaderless utopia, to run activism workshops, swap tips on compost toilets and moan about capitalism. Nobody is drunk or getting stoned. They wash up, erect wind turbines and play impromptu games of footie. The vibe is far more Famous Five than Guildford Four.

Like most of us these days, the residents of Blackheath are inclined to dig the campers’ cause, if not their crusty politics. Whether it is middle-class tokenism (reusing a Waitrose carrier bag) or more aggressive solutions (the solar-panel market is booming), the public mood has changed.

Various campers are happy to share their views. “We have no leaders, no bosses, no hierarchy,” says Richard, 23, a recent Cambridge graduate. “We operate by consensus. This is not just a protest, with people marching and saying ‘No!’. This is our chance to say ‘Yes’ by demonstrating what sustainable living looks like.”

On the way to the Tube, a young banker who clearly started his bank holiday drinking early, grabs the megaphone from an activist and addresses the campers.

“I love you guys!” he tells the crowd.

“And we love you!” they shout back.

More eco-vandalism than eco-terrorism in fairness. I think the idea is to get people talking about the climate change thing more than anything else, which they seem to have succeeded at.
