Michael Healy Rae denies Senate Claims

Radio Kerry are reporting this afternoon that Kerry Co Councillor Michael Healy-Rae, son of Jackie, has firmly denied speculation and rumours that he is about to be nominated to the Senate in return for Jackie's support of Bertie Ahern.

Radio Kerry are also reporting that Tom Fleming has been nominated by FF's South Kerry Comhairle Ceanteair to contest the Seanad election on the Agricultural panel.

And when he is nominated, will we expect 'Oscaresque' feigned surprise?

Will the coincidence be lost on him?
