| There's a selection process ongoing in Sligo with a candidate to be announced within the next two weeks. I'm not sure of what's going on there, but there are strict procedures agreed by the party for selection conventions. They are all being followed and no one can be announced until they are complete. |

| This would be a big surprise if it actually happened. Personally cant see it happening but since i have now said that, it will probably happen. Quote:

| [ There have been 2 nominations for the greens. Former Labour Councillor Brian Scanlon and an unnamed. Scanlon is part of the Connolly group in Sligo and has far left wing tendancies. He has also been critical of the labour party canditate Scanlon has just joined the greens, so I suspect that this is a ploy by the Connolly group that the greens are falling for. I predict that it will backfire as Cllr McGarry will mop up the transfers from Scanlon. |

He echoed what was said above about this being a ploy to take votes away from labour. Honest to christ what the f*ck is goin on up there and how did the Greens fall for this? They've gone down in my estimation if this is case.
