In 2011, Politics.ie had 8,573,547 visitors, of which 2,478,710 were unique, reading 83,491,696 pages on the site. The average visitor to Politics.ie reads just over 9 pages per visit, and spends an average of 12 minutes on the site. When major political and economic events happens, Politics.ie plays a role where engaging and insightly debate, discussion and analysis take place. For that very reason, Politics.ie is an essential read for those who make policy and those who want to influence policy. From our research, we've found the Economy forum especially is being read within banks both in Ireland and abroad, as well as European financial instutions.

Politics.ie's audience includes Ministers, TDs, Senators, political party staff, staff working in Government departments and other policy makers both internationally and nationally, as well as party supporters and journalists and of course general voters (and non-voters!). Our readers even include President of Ireland Michael D. Higgins, who says he's a fan of the website.

Our survey conducted in 2011 (with another due shortly) gave us some interesting insights into the Politics.ie audience. 86% of Politics.ie readers are male, and 14% of female. In terms of age breakdown, just over 11% are under the age of 25, 30% are between 25 and 34 and over 42% are aged between 35 and 49. 65% of Politics.ie readers told us they earn more than €35k per year, and 67% have at least a degree.
