Anyone dumb enough to assert that you'll always pay more flying Aer Lingus over Ryanair is a DUMB shmuck. And patently a propagandist.
30 seconds on the EI and FR websites produced the following quotes for retuirn trips to Nice airport on the same days;
Quote:
Aer Lingus: Dublin - Nice - Dublin EI 548 April 11th EI 549 April 22nd

EURTaxes/Fees 31.08 EUR Total Cost of Flight 170.43 EUR Excluding handling fee (if applicable) click here for information on handling fees |
Note the Ryanair quote doesn't include handling fees whereas the Aer Lingus quote does. Add another 10 euro.
Also, Aer Lingus allows cabin hand baggage, Ryanair will charge 35 euro EXTRA penalty for it.
Aer Lingus allows 5kgs more Hold Baggage than Ryanair, which charges an extra 12 euro per kilo - making an automatic extra charge of 60 euro to match Aer Lingus allowance.
The Ryanair flight costs 107 euro more than Aer Lingus.
So in 30 seconds I proved you are a shmuck, and a Ryanair propagandist.
