The point being that the role of the RIC/RUC/PSNI has not changed in the intervening 90 years. If the religion of it's membership was irrelevant in 1919 then it remains irrelevant today. They continue to uphold British law in Ireland. I'm sure the people in Craigavon who had their doors smashed in last week thought it was ok because one in four of those doing it were probably Catholic.
