Default Re: Pembroke-Rathmines Local Election 2009

Probably the most interesting of all the Dublin CC changes. I think the spectators entertainment here is the Labour battle. I can't see them getting three and its highly unlikely they will only end up with one.

I would see Freehill being in the most trouble here, its obvious that Labour will not want to lose Quinn (as a possible future TD) and Lacey is a effective and hard working Councillor, both Citywide and Constituency. Freehill is as mad as a bag of cats and aside from being a bum on a seat for Labour in DCC adds nothing to the organisation.

Given the relatuive total transfer of Laceys pembroke constituency I say he is safe. Quinn probably needs to up his local work and then with a push mop up enough 1st prefs to stay ahead of Freehill.
